Automatically start macyac

Hi, I just switched from PC to Mac last week, and installed macyac just yesterday. After figuring out some basic UNIX syntax, I've managed to copy and run macyac from /usr/local/bin, and it worked. However, everytime I restart my Mac, I have to run macyac manually again. Is there a way to make macyac run automatically everytime a user logs in and/or the computer boots up? I thought of putting it in the Login Items in my user account, but I could figure out how to access /usr from the Finder. Any help is much appreciated! Thanks.

If you are on 10.4 you want to setup a
launchd thing.

Writing UNIX commands is too scary and mind boggling. Remember that I just switched from Windows? Is there an easier way (e.g. with a GUI)?

You said you wanted macyac to start when the computer starts. So the only way is through a startup item or what I suggested.
If you are fine with it starting when you log in, go into account prefs and add it to the startup tab.

Wow that was a quick reply!
Ya I don't mind it launching when I log in. However, as I said before I saved it under /usr/local/bin. Is there anyway to access /usr from the Tiger GUI, or should I move macyac to somewhere else like my home folder?

try this:
in finder, click go/go to folder
Once there, type in /usr/local/bin
Drag and drop

Cool, thanks for the trick! Looks like it's working already.
