Squelch Mode vs. Log Only - Shows differently on two Macs

I'm using Growl 0.7.2 on an iMac G5 and PowerBook G4. On the iMac the Growl menu bar selection has a menu option that reads "Squelch mode", while on the PowerBook it reads "Log only, don't display."

As I've just upgraded both computers from 0.7 I'm not sure why the difference. I don't recall what the options were previously.

Does anybody know why the difference?

Thanks!

Go to the growl panel, and then disable and re-enable the "Display Growl status in the menu bar" box, and see if it helps.

Thanks, that fixed it. Only now enabling the Status Item doesn't "stick" upon system restart.

Perhaps I'm expericing this issue:

Good catch! It's indeed a bug and it's fixed for .8 :D
In the meantime, simply add GrowlMenu (from /Library/PreferencePanes/Growl.prefPane/Contents/Resources/GrowlMenu.app) to your login items.

No problems starting up - that's working fine.

Enabling the menu item just doesn't "stick."

I look forward to 0.8...
