I really like the crystal theme but it only goes on the top right of my screen. One of the reasons I like Bezel is when you have around 5 alerts at one time they dont take up the whole screen. If there is any way to change some of the other styles so that I can move them into other parts of the screen that would be awsome.
Bezel usage

We should hopefully have positioning for .8 for all displays taht require it.
There are 2 kinds of styles: multiple windows, and single window.djmori wrote:And what do you think about the "single line alerts" (those alertes on hold wait until the one that's active goes away) feature of bezel? Any thougths about inlcuding it in other displays?
We hope to include at least one new single window style in .8.
Also adding an option for multiple windows style to be single window is an interesting idea...

Woow I'll be looking forward to that single window display.ofri wrote:There are 2 kinds of styles: multiple windows, and single window.djmori wrote:And what do you think about the "single line alerts" (those alertes on hold wait until the one that's active goes away) feature of bezel? And I see that right know there is a "limit to 2-5 lines" checkbox in multiple windows displays. You guys could add another checkbox as "limit to a single line"... guess the code would be similar to!
Sorry, apparently the new style i talked about is targeted to .9.
If we can do it for .8 that's fine, but we have a ton of work already, *sigh*ofri wrote:Sorry, apparently the new style i talked about is targeted to .9.

I only use Bezel because I find it blends into the Mac OS X interface a lot better than the other ones. I have no problem with the Growl Bezel, the only thing is that I would like to know how to move the Mac one (that shows volume, brightness, etc) to the top right corner (where I have my Growl one).
Keep up the good work!

I'm of the bunch that never uses Bezel. If I remember correctly, when Adium first started doing notifications (internally), it used a display similar to the Bezel we have now in Growl. However, once Growl came out, I abandoned that Bezel look immediately. Since day 1 of Growl, my Adium uses Bubbles, my system alerts/ notifications use Brushed, and my iTunes uses Music Video. Put these 3 combinations together and I think you have the uber-notification system. At least from my point of view, lol
I'm... kinda tired... I think I'll go home now.

Eevyl rewrote it for Growl due to gpl implications, and it was easier if I remember right.ofri wrote:It was named "Bezel" in adium, and IIRC was "ported" to growl by eevyl who wrote it in the first place.John Don wrote:If I remember correctly, when Adium first started doing notifications (internally), it used a display similar to the Bezel we have now in Growl.
