building growl from source

Post by eblood »

i've pulled down the growl sources from subversion, and have been able to build the "Growl.framework ppc" target using the "Deployment" build configuration. however, when i try and build anything else i'm getting "SDK package /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.4u.sdk does not exist". i figure this is something with the new intel stuff available through adc--is this correct?

how do i get around this problem?

What optional packages did you install when you installed xcode?

You need to install the universal binary SDK in order to compile.
Also note that if you downloaded the .8 source (trunk), it is not functional. Although, it does compile.

yeah, i didn't recall installing any optional packages. looking at the xcode distribution i found the MacOSX10.4.Universal.pkg, and there wasn't an entry for it in /Library/Receipts. after installing it, the problem went away.

thanks.
