Application Icons

Post by fumi »

I am sure this has been answered elsewhere but I am trying to get Newsfire to use Growl. It works ok, but I just get the Application folder icon when I get notifications - not the Newsfire one.

I have Newsfire in my applications folder. What's wrong? Other Apps use their own icon but not Newsfire.

In my Growl Preferences, I can see the list of registered apps (all with their own icon) but Newsfire uses the Applications Folder Icon.

I don't know how to solve this.

I have updated the post above to be a little more clear about the problem. I really would be extremely grateful if someone could help me out here.

Try deleting the newsfire entry and allowing it to reregister

I deleted Newsfire from the Preference and I had notification that Newsfire had registered.
However, I just get the same Application Folder icon in the Preference Pane.

I deleted Newsfire from the Preferences, then relaunched it again. I had notification that Newsfire had registered.

However, I just get the same Application Folder icon in the Preference Pane.
