I know stupid question but i can't seem to locate where this setting is.

It used to show nicely in the upper right hand corner of my screen.... now it shows in the center of my screen..

Which style notification are you using?

Not all types allow you to choose a custom position.

Smoke. When i hit preview it shows up in the right place but every growl notification shows up centered.

Ok thats it.
Previously i had setup my growl notifications to display using bezel in the upper right hand corner. I then switched the display style to smoke.
At some point i switched some display settings and it reverted my smoke display settings to the center.

I fixed it by going back to bezel and switching the position back and then switching it back to smoke.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Kinda back-ass-wards if ya ask me. Don't get me wrong though growl rules!

How strange! As i'm sure you noticed whilst playing around, Smoke isn't one of the styles that allows a custom position (at least not in it's setup page). As you imply, this isn't normal - perhaps a bug - if not already mentioned in the trac page, might be worth bringing to attention.

Anyway, welcome, happy Growling :-)

We've changed up positioning a lot for 1.1, you'll need to wait for that release for this bug to be resolved.
