Additions to Hardware Growl

Post by Desmond Foulger »

I came across Harware Growl because I was unable to use Peripheral Vision once I migrated to a MacPro, which is of course, Intel. What I miss HUGELY about peripheral vision is the fact that at each boot up it would speak how many USB devices, How Many Firewire devices and how many bluetooth devices were connected. Also, as a device was either connected or disconnected, it would speak the information.

Whilst I find Hardware Growl a good "halfway house", I feel it would be so much more sophisticated if it could incorporate this speaking feature.

PS I did try to E-Mail the peripheral vision software author but he appears to have gone to ground.

Would it be possible to incorporate these features into Hardware Growl, please (pretty please?)
E-Mails always welcome

You should be able to do that by changing HardwareGrowler's default display type to Speech, and setting the option in HardwareGrowler's prefs to tell you what's connected on startup.
