hello. My Growl has—at least for Apple Mail—seized working (I think it is since I updated to 10.4.7 lately). I don't have a chance to test the other apps right now. I the prefs, all seems right (Growl is running, GrowlMail is checked in the Applications section, Notification is enabled). I have no idea why this might be.

thnx

Check out the Growl preferences in Mail.app, that might be the culprit.

my mail.app preferences didn't have a Growl Preferences section. I reinstalled it, and then searching everything, I found I had in my library, in the Mail folder, a folder entitled 'Bundles (Disabled)' and all that was in it was a Folder named 'GrowlMail.mailbundle'. I have no idea why it was 'Disabled'. And the reinstalling didn't change that. Removing the 'Disabled' part in the Folder name brought the panel in the mail prefs back. I guess that's good to know.

Basically what Mail does, is if you don't have the right bundle compatibility mode enabled (which the installer should do) it'll move it to that disabled folder. So at some point it wasn't set right and it moved the GrowlMail bundle over to the disabled folder.
