GrowlMail broken in 10.4.8

Post by macdave »

GrowlMail (0.7.4) notifications stopped working recently on my 10.4.8 box. Preferences are all configured properly in PrefPane, and in Mail 'Growl' pref pane. Noticed two strange things:

1. In System Prefs > Growl > Apps, the list is empty.
2. When I install GrowlMail, it gets installed under /Library/Mail not ~/Library/Mail

I've tried uninstalling both, and re-installing, but same result. Anyone know what I might try?

Could you open Console.app in the Applications -> Utilities folder and see if there is any applicable output? This would help to narrow down what could be going on.
Try my software!

#define QUESTION ((2b) || (!2b))

Where (which log file) and when (when I open mail? receive an email?) should I be looking in console?

Thanks for the help

Bump...anyone else having this problem?

Mail still will not show up under 'System Prefs > Growl > Apps.' However, other apps do show up there, and display notifications properly.
