Growl for (built-in) faxing out

I'd like to be growl notified once a fax has been sent using the built-in fax utility on OSX Tiger (10.4.8).

The fax status sits in my menubar. Each time i send a fax via build-in modem, status messages are being displayed in the menubar ("ringing"..."sending"...). However once the fax is sent i don´t get any final confirmation. I´d have to call up the modem window to check if the fax was cancelled or finished.

Is there a way growl can notify me once a fax is sent successfully?

(Folder actions are not applicable, because there is no folder for faxes sent)

I don't believe there is any form of access to the fax software of Mac OS X, but I could be wrong. If a way could be found, this would be a logical extension to the hardware growler application.

2 followups, yelly:

1. Is this the actual command used by Apple's faxing facilities?
2. Even if so, will status/queue reflect the system's state appropriately?

I think Growl would also have to be the app that sent the fax. We're not doing that.
