problems with connection

problems with connection

I'm new to uploading with FTP, and I'm trying to upload website files to a server. I entered the info in the email, and when I try to open the connection, I always get this message:

DNS Error:Connection failed
ftp://fattycat@fattycatty.net/public_html:21

Did I enter the wrong info? I've been checking the help site, and I can't find anything to help me with this.

This is not a valid URL. A valid URL would be

ftp://fattycat@fattycatty.net:21/public_html
you could enter in the quick connect field. You could however leave out the port number 21 as it is the default port number anyway. Probably much easier is to enter the connection parameters in the connection dialog or creating a new bookmark. See the help pages at http://cyberduck.ch/help/en/
