Request: Throttle transfer speed

Here's something I never thought I'd request - a way to DECREASE file transfer speed.

Here's the deal: I've been uploading some huge files as of late (300-600MB). On my home cable modem with a lame 512Kbps uplink speed that takes forever. But when it's uploading, it's saturating my line making other transfers achingly slow. With large transfers that aren't urgent I'd like a way to cap the transfer rate so my other computers continue to work well, despite knowing the transfer will take longer.

This is done well in bittorrent apps like Azureus, where there are fields for max upload/download rates that can change dynamically (as needed mid-transfer).

I tried to submit this as a ticket, but received an error.

i used a bug-me-not account for the login here, hope this doesnt fuck up my reputation ;)

i'll second that request

after long searching for a workaround i now use the commandline ftp for decreasing the upload speed, would be nice if cyberduck could allocate this feature
