Posting a file

Post by aahh1us »

What is the best way to post a file (actually folders with lots of files) to my website so that my client can log in and download them for review? I do not want the general public to be able to see the files, but they are not highly confidential either.

Here is what I have done. I created a username & password on my website for ftp access for my client. I would like for my client to be able to log into my website and just click and download the files without the use of another program (Cyberduck or the like). Is that possible? (I admit to not knowing much about ftp.) I have uploaded a folder containing files (PDF & Pages (from iWorks)). I would like for my client to be able to download the folder. In testing, (1) I am unable to download the folder, (2) I am able to open the PDFs and save them that way, and (3) I am unable to download the Pages files - Cyberduck changes each Pages file to a folder with a bunch of other files that I know nothing about.

Thanks for any help and advise.

I have found that I can post compressed folders using Stuffit - and I do not have the problem with the Pages files.
