Cyberduck 2.7.3 (Build 2930) + Smultron 3.0.2

Ciao Folks,

after I happily used Cyberduck & Smultron for on-the-fly editing for the last couple of months/years, I noticed the following strange behaviour:

Smultron is selected as external editor;
If I now highlight a file on the server and click "edit" -> Smultron opens as expected but rather than display the file it only shows a blank new one (formerly it was a blank new one plus the one on the server)

Any idea how to get the combo working again?
I just tried TextWrangler with Cyberduck -> it opens the file correctly (and another blank one) and uploads any saves without problem.

Thanks a lot for any help

Greetz

P.S.: BTW, Many thanks to the developer, cyberduck is the best

I also ran into this recently.

I hadn't upgraded either app in a few weeks/months; After updating, I began encountering sporadic behaviour with external editors. It seems to be working okay right now, but it didn't work last time I ran Cyberduck. Like Duke, I also switched the external editor to TextWrangler, but found that behaviour there was also sporadic.

Ditto to what Duke said; Thanks for an excellent FTP client!

Same problem here

Someone found how to get it working again?

Thanks for the great software!

This should be fixed in Smultron 3.0.4. I haven't had any troubles since upgrading, and the version history says "Fixed a possible problem when working as external editor."

upgrade to Smultron 3.0.4 helped!

I was having problems after I upgraded both Smultron and Cyberduck. When using Smultron as an external editor, I would download a file using cyberduck and it would automatically open in Smultron but when I saved it the file would not be automatically re-uploaded to the server. I installed 3.0.4 (from 3.0.2) and everything worked just fine.
