Cyberduck very slow over Airport
Cyberduck very slow over Airport
I have Cyberduck running on a Macmini with Airport on a Sweex Wifi-G router. When I connect to the router via a cable, the connection with CD to my website is very fast. But wireless the connection is horrible. 30 seconds wait to open a 4kb document is normal then. First I thought it had something to do with the router. But no. I tried the demo of Transmit, and it connects lightning fast over Airport as wel. What can cause this problem? Do I overlook an nescesary option?

Same problem
Hello
I'm experiencing the same problem:
until I used macmini with ethernet connection (cable), cyberduck was fast.
Today I'm surfing using a wireless connection: not only Cyberduck, but others FTP software too (like SecureFTP) are very slow (30-40 seconds to connect and always 30-40 seconds to open sub-directories).
Only Speed Download is working very well...
Solutions?
Thanks

I found a solution
Hallo omejoop.
Here nobody answear us... but I found today why my airport + cyberduck working slow...
I explain you in my bad english, hoping it's the same reason for you
I surf using microlink adsl router devolo + gigaset access point.
In System preferences > Network > Airport > TCP/IP
I used a wrong Server DNS:
I put 192.168.2.1 (my access point IP)
and this caused problem.
So I changed in 192.168.0.253
(my modem router IP) and all it's ok now.
Maybe you have to change your DNS with your right IP router number...
And of course don't forget to check USE PASSIVE FTP MODE in: System preferences > Network > Airport > TCP/IP > PROXY
bye bye
