Future of Cyberduck

Post by MacOSX »

Cyberduck is by far the best free alternative to a clear market of FTP clients for Mac OS X. It is made using the Cocoa Java bridge, which I still anger over why Apple would discontinue the bridge when so many applications using the Java programming language. Anyway, I fear Cyberduck's days are numbered with the release of 10.5, as the bridge will be discontinued. Will Cyberduck shut down the hatches or just continue to improve stability and not take advantage of the new features in the 10.5 release of the Cocoa API?

The developers have previously given a response on the issue here.

You can relax MacOSX,

so far Cyberduck works just fine if not even better in OSX 10.5.0 (build 9A343).

I never feared it wouldn't work on 10.5, just if the developer would move from the deprecated Java bridge, thanks though.
