Problems with MultiByte domain names

These are kinda new so it's no surprise that they're not supported yet but it's now possible to register a domain name containing multi-byte characters (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, etc). It's probably not an issue that affects many people yet but these domains are likely to become very popular in Asia soon. Is this something that can be fixed in the near future?
