Can't get files to upload/Forbidden message

Hello all. I did a search here and didn't find any answers. If it's already been addressed could someone kindly point to to the right thread?

Anyway, after dl'ing the newer version of CD I upload my files no problem but then when I go to the site I get this message:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access / on this server.
******************

I'm guessing it's a permission issue but I don't really know. My knowledge of FTP is limited so if this is a issue of me being a bonehead please excuse. Thanks in advance.

Hello!

Please change access permission.
Select the file in the browser and choose 'Info' from the 'File' menu or press to 'Get Info' button from the Toolbar.
You can also select multiple files at once.

HTML files and images to... 644 or 604
cgi files to... 755 or 705(SuEXE 701 or 700)

Thanks for the response. Actually it was a simple matter of my home page not being titled "index".
