blocked myself from my website?

Post by majarch »

Hi,

I tried accessing files from a server last night using Cyberduck for the first time. I was unsuccessful in logging on, even though I had my user mane and password, plus a private key.

Since attempting to log in to my server, I can no longer access the web site from that computer. I am on my iBook now and can access it, and also did so at work on a PC. But I get a message "server is not responding".

Can I have inadvertantly "blocked myself" from even reading my web site?

thanks, I am going from memory and I am sure you will want more drtails to help.

If your server is running Snort, it's possible that Cyberduck may have caused Snort to block your IP address under a "SSH Brute Force Attack".

This has happened to me from time to time. But this would not explain why it works on only one computer, even though both share the same Internet connection.

Try reinstalling Cyberduck on the computer it's not working on first.
