Cyberduck for dummies... HELP ME PLEASE!!

HELP!!!! I have no idea how to work anything ftp! I downloaded cyberduck and then the confusion got thick!

I think my main question is how do I set up my own ftp site so other people can log on and download pictures/ files etc. that I have on there? I tried googling this earlier, but all I found was to "type in the appropriate info." What is that supposed to mean? I need this dumbed down completely!

1.) How do I sent up my own ftp site? (name...passeword...etc.)
2.) How do I upload files... pics... etc
3.) How do I inform others to logo onto my ftp site & download.

I've also never been on a forum before. (How is that even possible...)
