Quark print style file kind changing on transfer

Post by Xaqtly »

I was hoping somebody had some experience with this, I'm not sure if it's a Cyberduck issue or just a general FTP issue. We have a Mac running as an FTP server in our studio, and we're using Cyberduck as the client to connect to it. We use QuarkXPress here and we have a number of different Quark Print Styles that people have to use.

The problem is when we copy these Print Styles to or from the server using Cyberduck, the file kind gets lost and it's no longer a Print Style. Once it gets transferred, either to or from the server, it becomes a blank document that Quark can't read. This doesn't happen with Quark documents, or anything else for that matter as far as I know, only these Print Style documents.

I've tried setting the transfer to auto, to ASCII and to Binary, all three with the same results. If I zip the document before transfer, it's fine either way and will unzip to a print style document again after being transferred. For what it's worth, the print style document's "kind" is Print Style. Any advice?
