I am new to this and I need a FTP software, I am not sure what it does or how I can get one or how much it will cost...any help will be greatfully received.

Windows, Linux, Mac ? You want open source or pay? Are you wanting only a panel or do you need a server program? Will you want a database also and is there interactivity on your site? So many questions and no answers, darn it! But, you have to answer questions first - what are you wanting to do? If your on a hosting site, you most likely don't need any of these things since they are probably provided.

Answer the questions, and we can go at it again.
