When trying to make a new connection with your device it ask me for a username and password. Where does this username and password come from? I don't use a username or password on my computer so what exactly do I need to be able to make a connection with my device?

I have now tried several other programs to try and connect to my ipod and everything wants a password. I don't have any passwords setup on my computer but I have tried every password I have ever used in my life and nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions to make this work?
