How do I view .files?
How do I view .files?
I need to access a file on my server that is a .file, but Cyberduck won't view it, even when I have "Show Hidden Files" activated.
Re: How do I view .files?
It seems Irflew never had his problem solved, and I have the same problem. I note that several people have had tickets for the same problem, and I have found on the web a number of forums where people have the same issue. It would be good if a definitive answer could be given and put in FAQ or something.
So, my problem is that I need to know if I have an htaccess file on my server and what is in it. (There used to be one to do error redirects, but now it's not working, so I want to know what's wrong.) I can work around the problem for uploads - I just upload the .htaccess file using a visible filename, and then change the name to .htaccess. But I want to be able to see and read/download what is there, I think Cyberduck should be able to do it, but I can't find out how.
I have Cyberduck Version 3.2.1 (4923) running on Mac OS 10.4, and I have View Show Hidden Files ticked. Can anyone help me please?

Re: How do I view .files?
It appears my problem is solved - or perhaps it never existed! I can now see my .htaccess file in Cyberduck. It may well be that the reason I couldn't see it before was because it had been inadvertantly moved or removed.
So please don't worry any more! : )
