Maximizing Download Speed

Post by jordash1212 »

Thank you for everyone whose put effort into making this client. It's a really great client. There's just one thing that I'm wondering if it can do. I use a really slow connection at home. My download is 250kB/s. Each open connection I have achieves roughly 40-50kB/s download speed. I was wondering if there's a way to assign multiple workers to single files (in order to achieve the full 250kB/s) and if there's a way to download a directory with multiple files separately (once again to maximize speed). Currently if I download a folder it downloads the entire directory as one big file size.

Thanks.

One of my source server admins suggested this, but I don't see the feature available via the graphical interface. You can speed up single file downloads a bit using SCP, a feature under Preferences -> SFTP -> Transfer files using [pulldown] SCP.
