problems uploading big files

I spent two days uploading files the zip.file about 500mb stopped after 2,5 hours uploading (35kb/sec).

Today I tried to upload each file (80-150mb) seperate. Finally I could upload 3 files (with 60kb/sec), but I wasn't able to transfer the last one. Every time I got the report "broken pipe -transfer incomplet".
The transfer stopped after 28mb.??

Can I speed up the upload-transfer?
Is there any transferlimit?
