Support for folder view parallel with FTP folder

Hello
I am a recent convert to Mac from Windows background where I used to use CuteFTP.
Everything about CyberDuck seems to be fine but I could not find a way like in CuteFTP to specify a local folder parallel to the FTP folder. In CuteFTP, you can choose a local folder to you website and connect to your FTP server and when you are wokring on it, you can drag and drop from left to right i.e. your local folder.
Is there anything like that planned for future or am I missing something? Right now, I can download a folder but it downloads to Desktop by default.
If this feature is not present then I would like to implement it but I dont have any knowledge of Cocoa programming but I have 5 yrs experience of Win32 API. How difficult would it be to catch up with Cocoa?
