Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
Dear all,
Adium 10.5.10.x seems to have a problem on replaced OpdenSSL Support with macOS High Sierra (10.13).
On the next crach of Adium 10.5.10 (which is working ok, but crashes several times a day...) I will post the report. 10.5.10.4 will crash right on start...
Is this problem already reported ?

Re: Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
OK, seems to fix the craches under 10.5.10
I´ve just upgraded zo 10.5.10.4 and nor the failure on startup reports the problem on openSSL / boringssl:

Re: Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
From what I could find, it looks like there is a bug with BoringSSL in 10.13
Re: Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
Thank you for your reply. I think beginning on Monday we’lol have many users reporting the same.
I’m using the golden master so it will be the same as the official release on Monday.

Came here to report this very bug-- looking forward to the update today!
It's either that or use (shudder) Skype for Business.

Re: Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
I just installed High Sierra (the official public version released on Tuesday) and can confirm this issue on my machine as well. Aduim now crashes as soon as I open it.
Re: Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
I tried to recompile the whole thing including the Lync Addin but the error still persists.
I thought maybe adding the openssl manually would fix this but I still receive a EXC_BAD_ACCESS right after application start.

Re: Adium 10.5.10.x and SIPE on macOS High Sierra
Still broken. Is Adium an abandoned project? Would be a shame, it's such a fantastic program.
I even went to the trouble to compile Adium and the SIPE plugin myself, but the Adium source tracker website has been broken for a couple months so I can't.

Hi all,
this version seems to run quite good on my client (10.5.10.0):
-removed because official link is provided later on-
Please give a feedback if this lets the duck rock again...

Development has been inactive for a while now apart from security updates, the last of which came in April. That's all I know.

The official repository, the bug tracker/Wiki and other parts of the website have been down, yeah. But current source is also available on Bitbucket: https://bitbucket.org/adium/adium

Thanks. Doesn't compile, looking for OpenSSL when I guess High Sierra went to BoringSSL. Needs someone with more experience to fix, unfortunately.

I can confirm that Adium 1.5.10.0 and pidgin-sipe-1.22.1-adium-1.5.10.3-macosx10.9 works for me as well.

So the older version works? Is there an official download link, ie not someone's dropbox?

Official download for 1.5.10: https://adiumx.cachefly.net/Adium_1.5.10.dmg
