I think he did mean something in the Info window -- the spinning lines that show up on startup and shutdown, for example. Not the spinning beachball of doom that takes over your cursor.

We will support "Out to Lunch" and whatnot for MSN in .80.

You will be able to see your MSN status (etc.) correctly in .80 also.

Son of a Preacher Man wrote:I assume all clients support them - certainly the Mac client does, and it's not exactly feature-rich in other areas so I'd be surprised if others don't have the same functionality.

Again, I only have experience of the Mac client here, but - the message displays exactly the same way (in brackets after the username of the contact). When creating a new status message you've given the choice of it using the Busy icon or the Available one.
Interesting.. so yes, those statuses, while being officially different on the protocol, appear to be the same as a custom status of the same name --- a preset, if you will I'm going to investigate this on some other Yahoo clients (the Windows one, for example)... whereas the extra states are needed for MSN, it seems like if this is the case there's no reason to list them all for Yahoo as a user interested in them could just type the words and save it as a state.
The duck still burns.

Ah, yeah, you're right. I just jumped to horrible, horrible conclusions... :)

Actually, I think invisible should be another group of status (with the "offline" icon as it's symbol like "available" or "away" in the status drop-down for "custom status...". I would also think it should appear in the "offline section" of the menu) and of course would only be available if you were logged in on at least one protocol which supports invisibility.

If you are also logged in on one which doesn't support it, you would be prompted for an away message for those services.

When i say prompted, i don't necessarily mean that a dialog new pops-up, perhaps just whether the "status" text section of the "custom status..." window is available to type in.
