amsn is written in tcl/tk which, afaik, doesn't have an objc bridge. Last time I spoke with one of their devs he told me their protocol code is not separate from their gui code, which is a major problem if it was to be adopted by an Adium plugin. With that being said, he also told me they plan to (eventually) write a telepathy connection manager for MSN.

Just a question: I was poking around the internet looking for interesting news stuff, and i found that Proteus have relased IMservices as GPL. Usable?

IMServices has been released as GPL for years. It's basically libgaim wrapped in a way that would allow proteus to communicate to it in a way to sidestep the GPL. The side benefit is that it allowed the GUI to talk to the daemon remotely.

A large percentage of IMServices is libgaim plus Adium code.
