In that case a crack in the side of the emoticon with a duck wing sticking out would be even funnier.

ill make no excuses...
it would be a lot cooler of the duck were eating yahoo!... truth of the matter is, im not that great of a graphic designer.. haha..

i do what i can.

having the duck break out of the emoticon is easy enough.. ill try that later tonight.

well i drew adium breaking out of yahoo as if it were an egg... it looks good enough at 500x500.. but when you shrink it down to the necessary 48 x 48 it loses a lot of of quality and just looks like mush, and at 16x16 its really just a blob of colour... but nonetheless, it's what you requested...

I know this a bit late, but my icon set for SVN 0.8 has already a butterfly icon for msn.

well.. you beat me to it! and it looks very nice! i wish i would have seen yours first!

and yes, i could turn the drawing of the duck into a dock icon, but i don't know how to create a dock icon for adium yet... anyone know of a tutorial to teach me?

i basically just drew the duck in Illustrator with some different shading

Download a dock icon, control-click on the package, choose "Show package contents" and have a look around. It's dead simple.

the images won't load? that's so odd... they're just PNGs, as long as yer not using IE/win you should be fine...

if you want to download the files and open them in Preview or something...

The Yahoo icon is a bit glassy - vaguely 3d. Any chance you could give the msn butterfly a few hints of depth, to match?
