Contacts and Gtalk

I recently updated with the latest beta.

Now my Contacts list shows all of the people that are in my Gmail address book - whereas before it listed only two people I had chatted with via Goggle Talk before - i.e. the people with a Gmail address.

There is no point to them being there since they duplicate many of the entries I have under MSN or are people I only contact by email on rare occasions. Aside from deleting them individually is there any easy way to get rid of them?

I had this problem too. Delete and re-add your Gmail account. It worked for me.

It's a known issue that's filed in ticket #4670.

Thanks for the link to the ticket. I'll keep an eye on it and hope for a fix in due course.
