Feature Request: Contact Sign-On/Sign-Off Log Window.
I was wondering if a console window type log could be implemented in the near future. Where peoples comings and goings are logged, ie their sign ins and out's.
When i say console log i dont mean the system console, just a log window, one that shows details while open but doesn't specifically save thm or anything..
I know that there is atleast one other client that allows for this functionality, Fire.

1) It's already been discussed.
2) Trying to get developers to do something by saying Client X has this feature is crass at best... so let's not do that, mmkay?

The "Console" window in SVN is actually a debug window. It display a lot of internal information and is intended for debugging, not what the original poster is requesting.xpander wrote:The debug version of current SVN has a console window.
Also, the debug window in SVN is only present in development and beta builds and will not be present in a final release.

Much like I made X so I'm automatically right? I'd consider that crass but I've certainly seen that a number of times to shoot somebody down. Or, "it's my project I'll do as I want."Adam Iser wrote:How does this further the discussion? If you want to refer to a previous discussion, please link it. Everything's already been discussed at some point, so using that as an excuse to shut down a poster is crass at best.bgannin wrote:1) It's already been discussed.
"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Consider that Mr. Iser before critiquing others' behaviors.

Life's not too short, you're just dead for so long.
When have I ever said "I made X so I'm automatically right", or "it's my project I'll do as I want"? You're out of line here.bgannin wrote:Much like I made X so I'm automatically right? I'd ask you to consider the fact that with the Adium Dev tag under your name on this forum you are posting as a representative of the project. You take pride in the fact that your behavior on these forums is offensive, and that worries me coming from someone who is representing what we've all worked so hard on the past few years.bgannin wrote:"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." You've been warned. If you can't post constructively please do not post.
Oh no, a warning on a forum from an open source project... whatever shall I do *quiver*Adam Iser wrote:When have I ever said "I made X so I'm automatically right", or "it's my project I'll do as I want"? I don't intend to post here anymore. I don't intend to have anything to do with this project or its community.
Feel free to remove said precious tag and/or disable this account. I really don't give a damn anymore. Consider this my formal resignation from the Adium development team. Now I can get on with a real life.

Don't blame my job. Don't blame anyone. There is no assignment of guilt and to do so only invites additional trouble. My job is incredible and quite wonderful. This is simply the culmination of months of frustration I've already privately expressed to other developers.
Let's end any debate on reasons or theories of change in my personality or actions. Remember, I'm just a crass asshole who's leaving. Let it die.
You want reasons, here's a great one:
- I donate free time taken from my company or now my job yet others feel the need to call me crass or an asshole or any variation thereof for my efforts. I DON'T NEED TO WASTE MY TIME!

Time you gave very willingly. Obviously you didn't feel it was a waste of time before. Adam was just trying to be a mod on a forum. I was about to type the same thing before he posted...

Concerning the original question about the console window, I have a few ideas for something like this (it wouldn't be terribly difficult). Evan and I talked about it at one point. We both had some interesting ideas. If anything more comes of it, it probably won't be for a while, as we're mostly moving towards tying up loose ends and cleaning up, rather than starting new projects.
