adium x contact list changes

Hey,

I've tried rearranging my contact list yet everytime I try to change it, it'll just revert back to how it was before. Is there any way to stop this from happening? Maybe just have it not refresh the list from the servers or something? Thanks!

Go to the View menu and make sure there's no sort option selected. It sounds like it might be sorting by name or activity…

Yes, make sure you select the "Sort Manually" option. then you can drag people where you want them

im gettin the same prob as you. i tried sort manually, does not work. I drag people from one group to another, they go into the group, and then my buddylist is fine, but I sign off, and then back on, and its back to how it was originally. when i drag people however, i do get this message: Unable to Add Could not add the buddy (screename) for an unknown reason. The most common reason for this is that you have the maxiumum number of allowed buddies on your list.

this is not the case however, i dont have the maximum number of buddies. ne ideas guys?

I also have the problem of trying to drag a buddy from one group to another (all within one AIM account), and the next time I sign on, they are back where they started.

its not an adium problem, it happens on proteus.

I have the same problem, and I can sort my list in iChat and the official AIM client. Really annoying.

I had this problem repeatedly and, by accident, I may have found a solution.

Instead of dragging your contact to its new group, open that contacts info window, go to accounts and change the contact's group there.

Here's a pic in case I'm not making sense.

Lemme know if this works for you.

We believe this bug has been nailed in source, so hopefully list editing will work half-decent again in .8

Yes, .80 will be out when it's done. We're moving forward on it at a good pace, but no guarantees.

nope, that didnt work either, not too sure why, thanks for the help though. but .8 is sounding pretyy promising as of now.
