2 Questions: Profile Colors & Away messages

Hello all,

I'm new to Adium (and this forum of course), and I looked through the first ten pages of help here and couldn't find the answers to my questions so I decided to post.


First Question: Is there ANY way to import my away messages from AIM? And if not, is there any way to change the font colors while making a status message on Adium? (I use a black background with white font)

Second Question: This kinda relates to my first, but is there any way to change the colors on the profile? As I specified in the previous question?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

There's no way to import AIM statuses.

Select the text you'd like to change and check out the options under the Format menu. Adium uses the OS X standard font panel for changing colors.

As far as I know, the only quick way to import away messages would be a copy paste (i know, it's still time consuming.)

As for the font colors, Press Command(apple key)-T, and that will bring up a dialogue with which you can set font colors.

With that said, I can't remember if Adium .89.1 supports colors in away messages/profiles. If this is really important to you, you could try the beta.

.89 supports colored text in profiles and away messages.

I could never get colored backgrounds to work until 1.0, however.

Ahh, thanks for the help, I got the stuff working for status messages, but not for the profile. I'm gonna try the beta out right now. Thanks again.
