growl was working fine w/ adium .8 earlier in the night but now whenever i open adium it recommends i install growl. even if i choose to install and overwrite my original version, the next time i open up adium it says the same thing. I trashed all of my growl documents that are in the uninstall guide on the growl site, reinstalled it and it still does the same thing. Also, my message notifications have stopped coming and when i sign on, growl brings up notifications for everyone that is currently away. any ideas?
:update:
now, the notifications to install growl have stopped, the weird away notifications have ceased and my message notifications have returned...however, in my preference pane under adium it has things like
interface_errormessagereceived
filetransfer_begin
contact_statusonlineyes
when a concact signed on it says "connected" instead of the normal "came online" and if the growl windows are clicked it opens up an im window with them...kinda weird
Growl .6
Why Don't Stickies work?
I agree. I just spent an hour or so searching through the forum to see why stickies weren't working. It would have been a lot easier if I couldn't check the sticky box in the preferences or at least if the instructions mentioned something about it. The instructions should also say what the "clic" box in the preferences are for. It's not at all obvious and I just came across it going through the forum.bkemper wrote:The_Tick wrote:...skimpson wrote:why do stickies only work with some display views and not others?? i have only found it to work with Smoke so far
It still seems like a bug to me. If sticky is not allowed in music video or bevel, then this should be indicated. Otherwise people like me waste a lot of time trying to figure out why it isn't working, before deducing that there are certain Display Styles it doesn't work with. Check boxes or selections should be dimmed if they are not allowed.
Thanks

I'm honestly thinking of having the bezel pulled, it's a problem child.ScottF4 wrote:bkemper wrote:I agree. I just spent an hour or so searching through the forum to see why stickies weren't working.
