Question, please need an answer!

A simple question though I really need an answer. Everytime I click on a buddy it always shows the past conversation, and even from other days. Is there a way to delete or a way that everytime you exit out the box and open up a new one a fresh and new box is open. Thanks in adavance

Go into Preferences -> Advanced

In there, there is a tab on the left called 'Message History'. Click that, and uncheck the box that says "Show up to 5 lines of history in new windows"
