Does everything else work? Are you having connection issues? What OS are you on? Does your account work in any other IM applications? Is there any console output? Is there any other relevant information you think might possibly be of help to us in helping you?

I'm having the same issue, on several computers. They're all OS X 10.4.8. I was using Fire, and converted to Adium 1.0. Everything else works fine except for AOL. The server it's trying to connect to is toc.oscar.aol.com:9898. Anytime I try to connect to AIM I get a 'broken pipe' error. I don't see anything in Console that looks relevant, but I may not be looking in the right place.

That's the wrong server - there was a bug in the Fire upgrade code (fixed for Adium 1.0.1) which led to that server being imported from your Fire preferences.

Delete the server and port entirely in your account's options; Adium will then use the default setting, which will work.
The duck still burns.

Bingo! All better. I was wondering whether that was the correct server or not, but I couldn't find anything online that worked. The correct server is: login.oscar.aol.com:5190

Thanks!
