Links in Adium

Post by Petey05 »

I noticed that in the new release (which is pretty sweet in every other way), Adium adopted the TextEdit-style copy/pasting of links as the text of the hyperlink as opposed to the address.

Is there an option to turn this off? I rather like my URLs...

Thanks so much for Adium!

If you drag the fav icon from the browser if gives you the page title, if you only want the link then copy/paste the address from the address bar.

Yes, but if I, say, right click -> copy link in Safari, it copies the text, not the URL.

Since that's how I usually copy/paste links, is there any way to keep that from happening?

If you say copy link, then there is no way to get the address, you would need to follow the address if that is what you want to copy.

Seconded...

Right-clicking in Safari and selecting "Copy Link" is a lot easier, and I used to use it a bunch.

I would prefer to send the actual URL (and not an A HREF link). Would love to see that as an option.

There are 3 paste options in the Edit menu. Please try all 3.
