SVN Question and Help

Hey, so i'm new to all this SVN stuff, and i'm asking how to do it right, because right now, i think i'm using joscar to connect to AIM when i'm pretty sure it should be using libgaim, i'm using svn co svn://svn.adiumx.com/adium/trunk adium

is there something different i should be using?

Trunk is not the same as the 1.0 branch. Trunk is currently still using joscar, but incorporates other work. It's generally not advisable to work against trunk unless you are a developer. If you feel a need to build the 1.0 source you'd use svn://svn.adiumx.com/adium/branches/adium-1.0/

i am also on trunk and wish to switch to branch, but how do i go about doing it? pasting the above does nothing in terminal except tell me that there is no such file or directory.

any help would be appreciated

cd ~/Desktop (hit Return)
svn co svn://svn.adiumx.com/adium/branches/adium-1.0/ (hit Return)

This will create a fresh copy of Adium 1.0's branch.
