Hi,
So I've been using Adium 0.89 for a while now, and was about to upgrade to 1.0. I was just wondering, has the MSN file transfer problem (where file transfers take a really long time to load) been fixed in 1.0? If not, will it be fixed in gaim 2.0.0? Or is this a fix that is a long ways off?
Question about MSN File transfer.

We do not really have control over MSN file transfers. Due to the version of MSN we are forced to use we need to go through a middle man and there is nothing we can do about it. The gaim people plan to try and update their MSN, but this is still going to a lot of work and a long time. Also, we do not go by gaim releases (like 2.0.0) we use libgaim which already has a lot of the updates.

I wonder, isn't there a way to piggyback on the Messenger for Mac? I wouldn't mind installing it (in fact I have) but just not use it, only the stuff that handles file transfer.
No idea what the legal implications are, of course. But MSN friends never send me anything due to the slow transfer. They mail it to me or put in on a webserver.
Which works, but is a drag.

I don't know that this technically possible, regardless of the legal implications.
