Adium 1.0 message history is wrong

Post by PBenz »

I recently upgraded to 1.0, and just a few minutes ago I noticed that a conversation I had with one person is showing up in the history of somebody else. This is really bad. It's happened twice already.

In each case, the history starts off with a message from contact A, and the rest of the history displays the conversation I had with contact B.

This is from the history for contact_a (IDs changed to protect the innocent):

8:16:55 AM contact_a: the video is the very last thumbnail
Changed status to Offline (8:17:09 AM)
Changed status to Online (9:23:13 AM)
Changed status to Offline (9:30:46 AM)
Changed status to Online (9:30:47 AM)
9:40:44 AM contact_b: so a single quote?
9:40:44 AM me (Autoreply): Stepped away for a moment - be right back.
9:53:07 AM contact_b: u there?

Here is another example from the history of contact_a. Note that the 1st msg from me was not sent to contact_a, but to contact_b:

11:43:59 AM contact_a: for emailing web pages: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/886/
11:57:40 AM me: are you going to want to deploy soon?
11:57:45 AM me: Otherwise I'm going to lunch
11:58:27 AM contact_b: go to lunch, need a hour or so to get it done

Note that the recent message history is incorrect as well. Is there an index somewhere that can be rebuilt?

Known bug, there should be a test build shortly to check out one of our theories as to why it didn't show up in beta testing.

Ok. Good that it's "known". I'm much more concerned with being 100% sure that messages I'm sending to contact A are actually going to contact A and not somebody else!

They are, they're just being logged wrong.
