Tab Focus

Post by Lyg »

Can a tab not be in focus if its window is not in focus? For example, if I have two IM windows each with multiple tabs, the two active tabs stand out equally. Perhaps there could be a "active tab in active window," "active tab in inactive window," and "inactive tab" variation? Thanks!

But… what happens when a tab isn't activated? Is there just an empty window?

I think the point was, make the frontmost tab in an inactive window appear "greyed out" or something similar, so that only one tab, that is the frontmost tab in the frontmost window, actually appears "active".

That doesn't mean that you can't see the messages in background windows, just that their tabs aren't fully active in appearance.

I agree that this is a good idea, background windows should have a "deactivated" appearance.
