I know that MSN gaim support with a proxy is shabby at the best of time, but this has nothing to do with gaim. I am not having the same problems with Proteus so it can not be a gaim problem right?
I would say that 4/5 time when I try and talk to anyone of MSN using adium I get this error appear in the chat window "Unknown conversation error" which basically makes MSN useless to me.
Does this have anything to do with the error I get when I try to log in which says
"connection error from notification server
(messenger.hotmail.com)
Writing error"
I probably get this error about 3 times, and have to press connect again after each time, then after a while it will connect.

I am finding that its pretty much normally only between me and other people behind the same proxy. Do you have the same problemmat wrote:I face the same issue while connected to MSN.
Every few seconds, the following message appears: "Unknown conversation error."
I'm runing release 0.77. A collegue has the same problem.
