Cyberducks end without any message or whatever

I'm new to Cyberduck and have a lot of problems.
When I want to synchronize my local data via upload to the FTP-server I uses "synchronize". Then cyberduck was kinda thionking it over and then aborted without any message or anything else. It simple disappeared and I had to start it anew.
What did I do wrong?
2.question: in the help information I read that "synchronize" only uploads pages with a different size (between local and remaote site). That sounds foolish to me. I understand "synchronize" as uploading every single item - regardless of size -
a) which is at my local client but is not at the FTP server
b) which is at both locations but has a newer time stamp at the local site.
Is that another function for Cyberduck or is this function missing?
