Adium 1.0.1 crashes when attempting to initiate chat

Post by vipulved »

Adium 1.0.1 crashes immediately when I click on a contact to chat or a contact initiates chat. I've sent several bug reports. What gives? Is anyone else seeing this problem?

Here's my OS details:

Darwin epiphany.local 8.8.3 Darwin Kernel Version 8.8.3: Wed Oct 18 21:57:10 PDT 2006; root:xnu-792.15.4.obj~4/RELEASE_I386 i386 i386

cheers,

Unfortunately, our ability to view crash reports is down at the moment. Please see http://trac.adiumx.com/wiki/ObtainingAC ... rtManually and email us your crash report.
The duck still burns.

No log file is written in the Logs directory. I've tried various permutations (eg checked before and after pressing "Close") but as far as I can tell, no crash report is being written to disk. When I click on "Privacy Information" it says this:

OS Version: Version 10.4.8 (Build 8N1150)
Language: en
Exception: NSInvalidArgumentException
Reason: *** +[NSArray arrayWithObject:]: attempt to insert nil
Stack trace:

The stack trace is missing, which is perhaps why a report is not being written to disk?

Do you have anything turned on in Universal Access in system preferences?

I had "enable access for assistive devices" checkbox turned on. Everything else was off. However, before I saw this post I re-installed 1.0.1 over the existing installation. This fixed the crash. I am not sure how libs are linked on OS X, perhaps a shared lib was overwritten by another program?
