Broken pipe on ICQ

Post by Eve S. »

Hello,

I hope, my question is not too stupid. I admit, I'm quite a Newbie when it comes to Mac, just switched from a very ugly OS ;) some weeks ago.

Anyway, I was recommended to use Adium X as an ICQ client, and until today I got along with it quite well.

But today it suddenly disconnected from ICQ, and doesn't reconnect. Which means, it's trying for a while, but then gives me an:
Lost connection with server:
Broken pipe

 OK. So I tried if ICQ in General has a problem, and launched go.icq.com. Works. But sucks, ofc. All those ads and the impossibility to save the history and... oh well, you know what I'm talkin' about, don't you? ;)
Then I checked the firewall if the ports are closed - they are not. I even deleted the server in the Adium settings to give it a chance to maybe choose another server, but that didn't work either, it took the same server again. (login.oscar.aol.com, Port 5190)

MSN seems to work as it should, though my few msn contacts are all offline at the moment...

However - do you have an idea what to do?
Thank you very much in advance!!

Eva

PS: I use Adium 1.0.1, just updated yesterday. But after the update everything seemed ok, no problems at all. As I said: it worked fine until a few hours ago.

...and once more.
Suddenly it worked.... and now it's broken-piped again. Argh!!

Nobody knows what this could mean?
