I added a new library to itunes last night (hold option while opening iTunes) and now growl is displaying random tracks. for example. playing in iTunes right now is "Sitting in Limbo" by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman. When I do my "Show Currently Playing Track Info" shortcut it displays "Release" by Umphrey's McGee.
I've done a bit of troubleshooting and while it's displaying random tracks in the show info window, they are from the library that is playing, not the new library i created.
can anyone help me? can i "re-sync" growl and itunes somehow?
thanks!
iTunes track notification displaying random tracks...
ok, i did some more troubleshooting after noticing that i didn't have growltunes running.
now what it displays two notifications: one that is the song that is actually playing, and one random song. that's only when the song starts, though. if i do a show info during playback it only shows the random one.
and now i got it.
i had to go into growl's preferences and uncheck (for the entire application) both "WBC iTunes Scripts" and "Growltunes". The only iTunes related notification I kept was from quicksilver. it seems to have alleviated the problem.
to be honest, i'm not sure why i had the WBC scripts in the first place.
