Suggestion for Crash Reporter.

Post by Ethion »

When you get the window, and you have the same kind of error.
Which is known, and you don't want to press "send report and reopen adium".

I think it would be good if there was a "close and reopen adium" too.
At least under the betas.

A tiny, miniscule, very small thing I noticed in Crash Reporter: in the privacy sheet the button is "Okay." Should it be "OK" or does that not matter?

If you're getting a persistent crash that can be reproduced, and you've already sent in a report or two about it (or, say, you know the devs are aware of it, or it's already been fixed in SVN), you wouldn't want to send another one. It would just be cumbersome to the devs. That's how I see it, anyway.

The ideal solution would be to filter out fixed bugs in the crash reporter

It doesn't matter...

Send 'em in! There's always a chance that what you send is useful to us for some unusual reason anyhow. :) We have many many thousands of crash reports anyhow, so sending in a few more is OK (but not Okay).

Could it be possible that when you click "Send to Adium" it relaunches the application?

I guess this might be a problem actually if you have a recurring problem and it keeps relaunching though.

Anyways, just a thought!
