Old Away Messages

Post by superpants312 »

It would be neat to be able to cycle though past away messages... like past 10 or something. I tend to use about half preset away messaages and half custom, and sometimes I think it would be nice to be able to use an away message that I used 3 messages ago--

Make any sense?

I love Adium - it amazes me. < that's wide-eyed admiration, not shock... for me, anyway

a thought from a coding standpoint (not that i code, so maybe more of a logistical standpoint)...could the push/pop/recent entry code be adapted for this use?

The push/pop code is just a stack, nothing that isn't used all the time anyhow. :) Keeping track of recent items is a pretty easy job, I'm just not sure where it would fit in our new status menu system. Ideas?

Well I am not really familiar with the new status menu system... is there someway I can see what is going on? It might be neat to just have a "Recent Entries" (or whatever) in the Status Message list -- I'm going by the current status system under "File."

Thanks! HB

I can think of two easy solutions, both of which would be in the Custom Status entry window. Either put a popup menu with recent messages under the "Title" text field at the top of the window, or if that would make things too visually busy, just use keystrokes exactly like message push/pop.
